Needed to get new prop, but ok so far

Haven’t tried out the thrusters yet. Upon arrival one thruster had an oil leak, and the other had a badly-cast prop, it wasn’t sitting true on the shaft, so I ordered a replacement.

I sent in an email mentioning the issues I discovered during the unboxing and Lynn replied quickly - confirmed the oil leak was to be expected as motor equalized pressure, and she said the wonky prop would be fine. But since the prop is readily available, I purchased a replacement that I will install before I actually use the thrusters. Lynn also confirmed there is a 1 year warranty, so that helped ease my concerns.

So far, so good, but I haven’t actually used the product yet.

Hello, thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and objective review.
We will take any feedback or suggestions you have after you officially try out the thruster very seriously and are happy to continue to assist you. If you encounter any problems during use, please feel free to contact me at nina@underwaterthruster.com
Thank you again for your trust and support, and we wish you a smooth experience.

First (dry) test

I received the motors with some delay...but that's not a problem. I couldn't test them this year...I'm far from water now...and it's cold. I'll test them in water in 2026. Now I've only done a short dry test. I powered them with a 51 Volt LFP battery...the remote works well...adequately...does what I expected. It's too bad that the remote is not waterproof...I hope this shortcoming will be overcome in the future.

Thank you for your feedback! We are pleased that the dry test results met your expectations. Regarding the issue of the remote control not being waterproof, we have made improvements, and a waterproof version will be available soon. We look forward to your subsequent underwater testing, and please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

Warranty claim

Dear Sir/Madam, thank you for your inquiry. I tried your product two days ago and have encountered serious problems. The control unit unfortunately failed while driving. It is defective and I need a new one. What is the procedure for this? Sincerely

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the problem you encountered. We value every customer's experience.
Please send a video or photos of the malfunction to our email address: nina@underwaterthruster.com so that we can better understand the problem and arrange a replacement or other necessary treatment for you.
