APISQUEEN Water Tube ROV Installation and Operation Guide: Can be used for education and teaching

Welcome to the APISQUEEN Tube ROV, a lightweight underwater thruster platform developed specifically for underwater teaching, research and demonstration. This device uses a modular tubular structure and high-performance thruster design to achieve forward and backward movement, left and right steering, and vertical heave control, and is widely used in various teaching and educational scenarios and underwater experimental projects.
This tutorial is suitable for first-time users and maintenance personnel, covering the complete installation process and operation instructions of the tube ROV. Whether you are new to it or want to review the key points of operation, the following content will help you.
1. Component connection and installation steps
Connect the pipes according to the numbers marked in the figure (each pipe has a serial number):

Put the foam roll into tube No. 2.
Connect the left and right ends of tube No. 2 to tube No. 1 and tighten with a rubber hammer.
Connect tube No. 3 to tube No. 1, one on each side: one with a hole and one without a hole.
Connect tube No. 1 to tube No. 3 with holes.
Connect tube No. 6 to tube No. 8.
Connect the other end of tube No. 6 to tube No. 8 as well.
Connect tube No. 4 to tube No. 8 and secure it with tube No. 1.
Connect tube No. 7 to tube No. 8 and further connect to tube No. 1.
Connect tube No. 8 to tube No. 4.
Connect the other side structure in the same way.
After assembling both sides:
Connect pipe No. 1 to pipe No. 4 on both sides;
Use pipe No. 5 to connect pipe No. 1 on both sides, with the pipe with holes installed at the top and the pipe without holes installed at the bottom.
🛠️ After all the pipes are connected, please tap each connection gently with a rubber hammer to ensure it is firmly fixed.

2. Grid and thruster installation
Fix the grid to the bottom with cable ties.

Use the U-shaped buckle to install the Bm70 thrusters in the following positions:
Left thruster (ccw1) ➝ left side of the shelf;
Center thruster (ccw2) ➝ center of the shelf;
Right thruster (cw3) ➝ right side of the shelf.


3. Cable and control line connection
Connect the control lines according to the label 1-2-3:
Wire 1 ➝ left CCW thruster;
Wire 2 ➝ middle CCW thruster;
Wire 3 ➝ right CW thruster.

Secure the control wires with cable ties to prevent slipping and entanglement.

Place a 3cm thick foam roll over the control wire and secure with cable ties on both sides.

4. Control system connection
Align the 6-pole plug (female) of the control line with the 6-pole plug (male) of the control box and tighten the connection slot.

Finally, the battery is connected to the controller and the ROV is assembled.

5. Function Demonstration and Operation Instructions
Thruster Direction Control
Press and hold the green button 1 ➝ The left CCW thruster blows forward

Press and hold the red button 1 ➝ the left CCW thruster blows backwards

Press and hold Green Button 2 ➝ Middle CCW Thruster Blow Down (ROV floats upward)

Press and hold Red Button 2 ➝ Middle CCW Thruster blows upward (ROV sinks)

Press and hold the green button 3 ➝ the right CW thruster blows forward

Press and hold the red button 3 ➝ the right CW thruster blows backwards

Combined operation Green button 1 + Green button 3 ➝ Move forward

Red Button 1 + Red Button 3 ➝ Move Backward

Red button 1 + Green button 3 ➝ Rotate left

Green button 1 + Red button 3 ➝ Rotate right

Propeller speed adjustment
The three knobs on the control box control the speed of the three propellers respectively:
Clockwise rotation: speed up
Counterclockwise rotation: speed down
Default factory setting: maximum speed
